Race Day Information

Packet Pick up:

You may PICK-UP YOUR RACE PACKET on Friday from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Hands-on House Children´s Museum, 721 Landis Valley Road, Lancaster, PA OR Saturday morning beginning at 7:00am. Please check-in by 8:30am.

We have CHIP TIMING for this event from Score-This!!. After you have picked up your race packet you may pick up your chip on Saturday morning beginning at 7:00am at the Score This!! Chip table. You must have your race bib number to pick up your Chip. All Chips must be returned at the end of the race.

PARKING

Parking will be available in the Hands-on House parking lot, 721 Landis Valley Rd. Lancaster, 17601. Auxiliary parking is available at St. John Neumann Church, 601 E. Delp Rd. and along E. Delp Road. Traffic police will direct you.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION

Runners may still register the morning of the race beginning at 7:00am. Race-day registration is $45 for the Half-Marathon and $25 for the 5K. We do not have a maximum number of runners. All are welcome.

VOLUNTEER CHECK-IN

All volunteers are asked to check in at the registration tent and pick up your Volunteer assignment and shirt. All volunteers will be wearing Sky Blue shirts. All Race Committee members will be wearing Purple shirts.

RACE START:

Half Marathoners will be called to the start at 8:40am. Half Marathoners will begin walking to the start line at 8:45am (approximately 2/10 mile) with the Half-marathon race officially starting at 9:00am.

5K runners will be called to the start at 8:45am and will walk to the start line behind the Half-marathon runners. After the Half marathon starts, the 5 k. runners will walk an additional 200 yards and turn around for their start.
The 5 k. will start approximately 5 minutes after the 1/2 marathon.

We are holding a KIDS FUN RUN for kids at 10:00am for ages 3-14. Registration for the Fun Run begins at 7:00am. Cost: $5 includes goody bag and participation award.

SIGNAGE:

Both course(s) will be well-marked with signs. The half marathon course will have mileage markers and the 5K will have kilometer markers. Please take note and support the generous sponsors of our race.

DRINK STATIONS

For the Half-Marathon drink stations will be close to mileage markers 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 11 and at the end. Water and diluted energy drink will be available at each station. The cups at the beginning of each station will have water and the cups at the end of the table(s) will have energy drink.

There are no drink stations on the course for the 5K race. Just at the finish.

PORT-O-POTTIES:

There are port-o-potties on the course at feed stations 4 and 9 and just past 7

AWARDS:

We have great AWARDS from Wilton Armetale for the top finishers of the Half-Marathon & 5K. Prizes and awards will be handed out ASAP after the race.

RESULTS will be posted at the finish and online at http://www.score-this.com/results.html

POST RACE:

BodyWise will be providing 5 minute massages for Race participants.

There will be a variety of GOODIES and drinks including fitness drink, water bottles, fresh fruit, bagels and spreads for all runners at the finish food tent. Samples of Maggie Moo´s Ice Cream, too.

Urgent Care will be available post race to take care of the minor injuries incurred such as blisters, etc.

PHOTOGRAPHY:

We have arranged for PHOTOGRAPHERS from Epic Photography to take photos at the finish. More information will be emailed post race to the runners with a link to the pictures.

HANDS-ON HOUSE, Children´s Museum www.handsonhouse.org will be open on Saturday from 10:00am-5:00pm. Admission is $7 each.
