Distances:
3 - 4 years: 1/8 mile
5 - 6 years: 1/4 mile
7 - 8 years: 1/2 mile
9-14 years: 1 mile

Every child will receive a t-shirt, goody bag, refreshments and a participation award.

We are all aware of the increasing concerns our children are confronted with regarding healthy habits, physical activity and maintaining a healthy weight. This race is a great way to promote healthy habits and possibly earn some money for the school. Hands-on House Children´s Museum now has exhibits focusing on organic vegetable gardening, balancing daily health through physical activity and healthy eating habits which can last a lifetime. Proceeds from this race support these efforts and all of the educational exhibits and programs offered by the Museum.

Elementary Challenge:

Any South Central Pennsylvania elementary school is qualified to participate in the Elementary Challenge. The Elementary School with the most registered participants will qualify to win a $250 prize for their school. A minimum of 15 registered children from the winning elementary school and a minimum of 50 total overall registered runners is required for the prize to be paid. Join prior winning schools by promoting the challenge and the healthy benefits of exercise to the students!!
