Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the 8th Annual Hands-on House Half- Marathon; 5K and Kids Fun Run event on October 1, 2011. We had more than 1100 runners participate this year! Your participation helped to raise more than $33,000 for Hands-on House Children´s Museum´s learning through playing exhibits and programs for area families.

A great big thanks to our many sponsors and volunteers who made the day a great success. We would like to especially recognize and thank Susquehanna Bank for their leadership in providing the title sponsorship.

The Courses: Half Marathon and 5K

Half-Marathon course description (red course):
The course begins with a slight incline, followed by four miles of flat, then several challenging climbs. This is followed by several additional miles of flat past beautiful Amish farmland, crosses the raging Cocalico Creek through a covered bridge and back over a low flat bridge up the biggest climb of the race between mile 6 and 7 and finishes back at Hands-on House Children´s Museum. view the map of this half marathon

5K course description:
The 5K course is a scenic run along a bike trail and through local neighborhoods. It finishes back at Hands-on House Children´s Museum. view the map of this 5K
